David Franklin started Franklin Graphics & Printing services around 1975 in the garage of his home, with the purchase of a single typesetter and a small press. It is now one of the most successful printing services operations in the state of Oklahoma and has expanded from its meager beginnings to thousands of square feet of floor space and a variety of state-of-the art equipment, including an 80,000 pound 40-inch Heidelberg six-color press.
In addition, Franklin Graphics has a diversity of creative designers with a wide range of specialties including illustration, layout, and photo design. Keeping up-to-date with the rapid changes in printing technology allows Franklin Graphics to produce better and faster. The company specializes in printing quality post cards, brochures, flyers, business cards, catalogs, posters and banners, and has received many coveted awards for its innovative design and outstanding print quality.
David Franklin’s educational qualifications are numerous and include a printing degree from Oklahoma State Tech, a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Arts from Northeastern State University, and a Masters Degree in Vocational Education from Oklahoma State University. He taught printing at both high school and college level for more than nine years before establishing his own business.
Like any productive business owner, David Franklin knows the importance of customer service. “The customer has to be first; I’ve always tried to keep it that way,” Franklin said. “It is much easier to keep a client than to get a new one.”
